I think you missed the point. I don't think a movie has to have characters we admire. I don't watch Goodfellas and think I need to be Henry Hill. These movies are reflections of what the mafia were like. So what if DeNiro's character is an order taker with no morals. Isn't that what most of the mob was made up of?
I don't agree with cannabilism, but that wouldn't take away from a movie about Jeffrey Dahlmer.
